| I don't know why I got on facebook today. I honestly don't think
about it anymore ever, but all of a sudden it seemed like a good idea
to just look. Some of you still write! I'm impressed at
your dedication. This place still feels like highschool...and God
I miss it. But college is amazing, so there's that. Ah, memories...

| Hi everyone. Okay, so I haven't truly posted since I've been here
and now that midterms are over (thank goodness) I think I am well
overdue, so here goes.
I love it here so much. I have met so many really great people
and we are having so much fun. The floor in my dorm is only about
25 people or so, but they happen to include most of my best friends
here. Its amazing to have people that close to you, and its
really amazing that we all don't get sick of each other.
School isn't all that bad. Of course, even a couple of days ago I
would have definately objected to that point. Its a lot of work,
but its manageable and that makes it okay. How nerdy is this: the
times I'm happiest are walking back from Economics tutorial at 9:00 on
Wednesday nights. The weather is perfect and I know I have
absolutely no classes the next day...and I'm 100% sure that I love my
major. Really love it, and I'm so happy.
I do miss Lubbock a whole lot. This is our four day weekend and
so a whole lot of people have left for home, and I miss mine. I
want to see all of you! I want to sleep in my own bed and just be
perfectly content. But OMG Christmas break is going to be
amazing! An entire month of no homework and practically no
responsibility. I can hardly wait. I get a lot of crap for
defending Lubbock here (apparently you're not allowed to love "hick
central") and I'll admit that Houston has about a ton of advantages
over Lubbock. But these people just don't understand the very
best part of my dear Lubbock. How could they? They don't
know you guys.
Well I've got to run. I'm going to see the first movie I've seen
since I've been here. Is this ever sad: I haven't been off campus
in the last three weeks. Its a whole different world. But
enjoy your weekend folks, and here's a few pictures of life over here.
By the way, its freakishly freezing here...how's Lubbock?

wow...I'm hideous. But this is my roommate Lindsay. We'd
just finished playing broomball so excuse our appearance, normally we
are drop dead gorgeous all the time.

This is broomball. It was so fun! And insane, I almost lost my nose.

This is Evan. Evan is a bartender from New York who makes a
valiant attempt to seduce women with a combination of alcohol and his
mad guitar skills. This picture is included simply for the sake
of the next one. (but by the way, is there a strong resemblance
to someone here or am I going crazy?)

Haha. This is how Rice students spend our time...mocking
others. This probably isn't very funny to you, but this picture
makes tons of people here scream with hilarity...its a very
longstanding joke, believe me. I just love the picture. And
by the way that's Angela...I love her.

This picture makes me sad. We saw Tech play Rice a few weeks ago
and Tech broke a two year Rice winning streak at home in 5
(sets?). I pulled for Tech and noone spoke to me for the rest of
the night. Oh dear, I do miss Lubbock.
More to come, miss you guys.

| Hi everyone. Really, really sorry that I haven't written in forever and I promise to do it sometime soon...right, soon. Anyway, so this is a really important announcement:
I'M GOING TO DIE!!!!!!
Ahh, half the campus is gone and more are leaving at like 2 and 3 a.m. tonight. Its really scary, but I should have some cool hurricane pictures. Please remember all of the nice things about me. I love you guys!!
